Des brings significant experience in leadership and governance roles in the education, community and social services, transport and logistics sectors and in the not-for-profit and Church sectors.
Currently, Des is a director of Barwon Region Water Corporation, Ports Victoria and the Emerging Futures Collaborative and is a member of the Victorian Skills Authority Advisory Board.
Past roles include Chair of Mercy Community Services Australia, director of Mercy Connect, director of Mercy Education, Chair of Mackillop Family Services and Chair of Edmund Rice Education Australia.
Des splits his time between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. He looks forward to adding value to those in ministry as a Trustee Director of Mercy Ministry Companions.
