Mercy Health celebrates International Women’s Day

Ahead of International Women’s Day, held on 8 March this year, Mercy Health celebrated with a series of events to celebrate, learn and recognise women. This included powerful conversations, masterclasses, and a special Honour Roll of women across multiple sites.

Through insightful sessions, Mercy Health staff explored:

• Building a strong personal brand with Danika Houghton (LinkedIn), who shared how to craft a professional presence with purpose.
• Taking control of financial futures with Natalie Candy and Richard Lynch (Aware Super), empowering women with practical tools to build security and independence.
• Mastering strategic communication with Leanne Faraday-Brash, equipping us with the skills to influence and lead with impact.
• Navigating menopause at work with Roslyn Johnson (Menopause Friendly Australia), breaking down barriers to open conversations in the workplace.
• Negotiating with confidence with Nicola Laver (Seek), redefining how women can advocate for their worth.
• Self-defence strategies with Leighton Lieu and Dahn Nguyen, offering valuable techniques to enhance personal safety.
• A gender equality panel discussing how to drive meaningful change together.

Staff also took the time to recognise the incredible women working at Mercy Health through the Honour Roll of Women—a special initiative where colleagues nominate women whose contributions uplift and inspire those around them.
